The Warroad Warriors have been a powerhouse in Minnesota High School hockey from nearly the beginning with their first MN State Hockey appearance in 1948, the second year of the tournament. They have remained relevant since with 23 appearances including 2022 when they made it to the Championship game. The Warroad boys varsity has won 3 State titles and also boasts a Mr. Hockey recipient.
